While MASBHC advocates on behalf of Maryland school-based health care, the School-Based Health Alliance advocates for SBHCs all over the country. MASBHC is a state affiliate of the School-Based Health Alliance.

The School-Based Health Alliance creates a formal relationship with each state affiliate which reflects the desire of both parties to build a strong national organization with a network of strong state associations representing and working on behalf of children, adolescents, their families, and school-based health care. Building from an agreement to share in the the School-Based Health Alliance Board-approved mission, vision, and core values, the School-Based Health Alliance and State Affiliates assist each other in building a comprehensive coalition and a grassroots movement to advance a federal policy agenda supportive of school-based and school-linked health services.
